Sorry I haven't been uploading lately, due to some personal matters, school, workload and finals.

But today I had some time and I found an interesting update.

Semi-old news but...So for those who haven't heard already:

Katara - Nicola Peltz
Zuko - Jesse McCartney

LOLWUT.

Well, if they pull it off and the series' characters shine through, that's great.

But...(and I hope I'm not one of the few) I was hoping for a more multicultural cast. ...seeing as we've already seen main character actors for movie worlds like Lord of the Rings, most Harry Potter roles, Twilight, not really have a multi-ethnic cast.

I'm not trying to be overly judgemental, since this is just a preview or tentative update. Plus, it's Hollywood.

But Would have been nice to have an asian/biracial/multi-ethnic person play a main role. To 'represen't you know?

...Oh well. I hope Mr Shyamalan pulls it off. :o

I loves Dev Patel and most of these actors as actors, but I still don't habeeb it.

I like the costumes too though.

Well, as long as the story is written well , I still have hope for this movie. A good story can save even a movie with some careless casting.

Basically Jesse McCartney would put the entire cast on heavier the suspicion that The Last Airbender is being whitewashed.

y r the asian roles given to caucasians??? It's not like the 60s where West Side Story had Caucasians playing Latinos. I'm asian, and it's making me super upset.

I want to give the story and visuals and actors a chance, but I'm not hot on how Shyamalan and the Producers approached the casting at all.

I imagine if I auditioned for the part of Hannah Montana or Daisy Duke, there would be an outrage too... White=Hero (?) Brown=Villian (???) Unbelievable.
