I was in an odd mood when I started making this (post viewage of Lake Laogai) and in an even ODDER mood when I completed it.

Technically, there are things I'm happy with, things I'm unhappy with...but that's another story.
My coloring/paneling/text/dialogue is teh uwa in ways,...but I felt the impulse to release this before the feeling of it hitting me would disappear or before I became far too busy and distracted to remember again.

Personally, even thoug it is just fanart of Jet from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and YES some people could care less of what happened with him in the ep (and maybe even going "Poo, good riddance > O ) ...
and that perhaps, he may very well may not stay in this sorry state, as such resulting canon would come to bite me in the blubber later. D: and that really....I have no real idea of what's really going to happen to the character in the show for real. and, being a canon character, there's always this awkward worry that I didn't do justice to him, portraying him in this.

Just really wanted to make this, not just out of connection to the character/s...or feeling the rush after watchng the ep.. using him almost as a vessel for expressing but..out of personal emotions as well... though it's choppy lookin in places...it became more than just a fancomic for me.

of knowing and questioning the feeling of if...whatever anything we do has a ';purpose', if that purpose is true, how some of us lead ways of simply following feelings and loyalties to people we are unsure of whether or not they will see the worth of that purpose towards them...to the very end...how in questioning such...just seeing it ...for what it is...whether it is a purpose that some people view as silly/pointless/stupid/selfish ... but seeing it in the end...why we just...do what we do and hoping that it has some worth or even at least...that even the weakest, or vain attempt to help someone....has some positive effect on others outside ourselves...the beauty in that. To hope that nothing is ever pointless.

I'm not sure what I'm tryin to say..I feel kinda dumb now for sayin all that... .. : /

But I really did...
enjoy working on this... : )

AHA, but Jet's tough, I don't think he'll get knocked dedz just from a rock in the gut XD

EDIT: 3/22/07 In an article regarding an interview with Mike and Bryan, they stated that Long Feng "Brainwashes Jet and eventually.. Kills him"

And I like this alot. It was very sad, mostly because we have to wait to find out what happend to the three of them. For som reason, I started liking Jet a lot more after this episode. This comic was really heartbreaking, but in a good way.

Damnit. You're making me cry for real.

I was so upset that this episode took so long (two weeks) before it came out, then afterwards... I was speechlessly upset.
I hate yet love scenes like this. Just like you, I don't know how to express my feelings for this.

But we really don't have any clue what happens next. Will Jet be alive? Seems like internal bleeding though. Jet seemed like a mislead person but seems like killing him ain't making the world better.

I love how you portrayed this in your art. I love it. :+favlove:

I admire someone who redeems themselves after a long time of mistakes; it takes a lot of strength. And I don't think any effort is ever pointless when you believe in what you're fighting for.

I like this, I think you did really well.

yes, well... was I the only one who got creepy-freaky-scary-NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR vibes from all episodes involving Ba Sing Sei?! ESPECIALLY that one?! *cowers in corner* I was so happy when they kicked their butts. ^_^

and I really hope Jet stays alive O_O I mean, yeah, he was a creep an' all, but now he's good.
