Anyway, thanks to the great refering me to an artist named "Li Xhiquin" [link] who is an astounding illustrator for some of the chinese comic book versions of famous WuXia novels... Whose style officially now rocks my socks and ranks up there for FireNation/Earthkingdom styles with my favorite inuit artist Germaine Arnaktayouk in terms of Watertribe styles.
And since somm'a ya'll already know that I totalee fell deeply in love with the Omashu legend sequence from "Cave of Two Lovers", here is fanart from it. heheh...-3-
Traditional brush and ink for forms, and digital brushing for the borders and ancient rice-paper moulding look. Composing and pencil sketching this thing was a biotch, (basically a n00b attempt which ended up making the objects and the representation of the Omashu mountain itself looked kinda B'Sed and overly centered, though I DO know that this is not the way to compose backgrounds in real traditional asian landscapes... XD...but ehehe, representation vs. realism won me ovar)
and I got nervous and my hand was shakin when I got to the details of their faces, one mistake and their mugs would have ended up so awkward. @w@ Aw, but oh well, still happy with it, the end result was better than planned.
...
Yes, I know I need work on my chinese calligraphy. ^_^;
who knows, maybe someday, I'll make another piece that'll be an improvement on this.

I have a confession to make. This is the couple that I love from The Last Airbender. Not Aang/Katara, not Zuko/Mai, not Sokka/Suki, etc. This pair to me was the most meaningful in their relationship, and you portrayed that well here.
Wow! This painting is absolutely amazing!! I just don't know what to say because it just takes my breath away! It's very inspiring too! Job CERTAINLY!- done well!
Well done!!!
