I attempted to learn Kanatiiosh (Chyhoitl (sp?) Native American) beaded hooping,
some time before Christmas. I made these two. Took pictures of em before I gave them both away. Just thought I'd like to keep images in case I want to make more.
The Sun hoop (right) was made as a Christmas gift for an older co-worker of mine, who trained me at work, and very firmly but fairly taught me to how to get by with great confidence and discipline..which I don't think I would have survived there without. XD
The Moon hoop (left) was made for another older co-worker of mine whose encouragement and kind words left me energized and smiling each time work became tiresome. Her attitude and optimism, kept me going even on the most difficult days.
Each one has qualities that the other doesn't, yet both hoops were enjoyable to make. Though they're both kinda crooked and I ran out of some colored beads ovO;;;
Dude! Where'd you learn how? I'd love to learn. I have a great respect and interest in native americans. Prolly that I'm paritally cherokee on my mom's side but that's beside the point I love learning about different cultures.
